The Conference Management System

 ConfMaster History

ConfMaster develops from ConfMan, a conference management system designed and implemented mainly by Ketil Lund, P?l Halvorsen and Thomas Preuss between 1997 to 2000.

ConfMan is a web based manager for conference organization and includes features for paper registration, an online meeting for program committee members, registration of conference participators and some administration tools for the conference organization committee.

ConfMan is based on MSQL and Lite. It was installed more than 200 times and probably used at more than 300 conferences. However, the technological basis of ConfMan becomes more and more outdated. The last version of ConfMan (1.6.5) was released on 2000/09/06. To get more information about ConfMan, please, visit the ConfMan website.

In 2003 ConfMaster was released by Thomas Preuss, one of the "fathers" of ConfMan. Design and major parts of implementation was done by Bastian B?ing. ConfMaster is faster, more robust and more scalable than ConfMan.
